The WET SEM is an aqueous sample chamber for the SEM sample stage. A layer of nano-film is placed in the center of the sample chamber to completely separate the aqueous sample from the electron microscope vacuum chamber, and the electron beam penetrates the film for imaging.

QX-102 is suitable for a wide range of water-rich materials and biological samples such as food, cosmetics, oil, ink, particles in solution, attached or non-adherent cells, microorganisms, etc. It is easy to observe samples of different viscosities such as foam, gel, cream, and latex. Samples can be viewed directly or with appropriate staining enhancement contrast or labeling.
